Absolutely delicious and authentic nonya dishes! All the dishes were great, and we especially loved the ayam rendang and otah otah

Our group of international Peranakan Museum docents was very happy with the quality, taste and authenticity of the food. We had Ayam Buah Keluak, Otah, Popiah, Beef Rendang, Cendol and other traditional Peranakan favourites served fast and efficiently by the inimitable Nancy. Certainly hope to return!

My wife and I booked The Straits Chinese Nonya Restaurant as venue for our wedding, mainly because the location was ideal and the food was excellent. Their service was also impeccable, as we came to find out after hiring them. The restaurant management and staff took effort to cater to our needs in planning for the wedding event. And despite the Covid-19 heightened alert situation that came out of the blue, the restaurant managed to work with us to adapt the dine-in menu to a takeaway bento for the guests, and to ensure that the seating arrangements accorded with the official rules, while at the same time minimising inconveniences to the guests. The management and staff of this restaurant are polite, well-organised and highly service-oriented. I highly recommend The Straits Chinese Nonya Restaurant as the venue of choice of you intend to hold an event or just to simply enjoy a meal at a beautiful location.

Authentic Nyonya restaurant! Great services & great food!!! I have been visited to their restaurant a few times! Although this time round is home-delivery, their standard didn’t drop! Taste like what I had tasted in the restaurant. The fish head curry and ngoh hiang are so delicious!! Their kuih is nice too!! I will definitely order again!! Recommended!!!

They serve some of the most authentic Nonya dishes that I have tasted! Together with my wife and daughter, we simply love everything on their menu, as well as their kueh which is not on the menu. Definitely worth making the trip to Esplanade, with free parking now during lunch and dinner.
